Northern Soul - Function at the Junction

This is probably one of the best things I've seen. We watch it in the studio whenever we get a few minutes to spare. You have to try to get your hands on the movie. The only place we have found it is on Amazon.co.uk. Soul Function The Northern Soul Story

The whole Northern Soul scene is so interesting, inspirational and really cool. It took place in northern England, Wales and Scotland and areas of Europe in the 70's and was pretty much over-shadowed by disco which was adopted by the mainstream (Mac v. PC adoption??). The Northern Soul resurgence is here. People are dancing the moves in the clubs to rare 45's that simply are too funky not to get up and dance to.

Thanks to bootsgotsoul for posting the video up on MySpace and to Lord Lewis the Velvet Knight who can be heard on the The Rumpus Room
